Welcome to the Gofundme page for Belly Up Theatre! Starting a theatre company in the midst of lockdown has been a challenge, but we’ve managed to secure a venue at Theatre Deli here in Sheffield for our brand new play Recipe for a Baby!
Recipe for a Baby is new a play which introduces us to Tracey, a budding TV chef. She's landed a great gig -- teaching kids how to cook on Saturday morning telly. Not to mention, it's produced by her partner, Tony. The only problem? She loathes kids. The get-out plan is to pitch a new show, this time for adults; and thanks to a mysterious recipe book written by her deceased mum and unearthed by her miserable dad, she's bound to convince the BBS to commission a series. However, as Tracey and Tony read the old recipes, they find something disturbing. Everything Tracey knew about her family is soon to become terribly disfigured - and with live TV thrown into the mix, it's going to be messy.
Recipe for a Baby will be performed here in Sheffield from the 9th of September to the 11th at Theatre Deli.
