Hello, this is Baloo, our nearly 6 year old Great Pyrenees! He is the fluffiest, sweetest, and most gentle giant you will ever meet.

A year and a half ago Baloo developed an eye infection that slowly took his vision away. No matter how many vet visits and different medications we tried, nothing worked. Eventually, he lost his vision completely. Due to him developing glaucoma, his eyes have gotten increasingly bigger and less comfortable for him to deal with daily. After speaking to specialists and the vet team helping us through this situation, we have all agreed that the best option for our pup is to do an enucleation, which is eye removal surgery.

If you are able to help us with anything, even if just a couple of dollars, we would truly appreciate it! We want Baloo to be able to go on long walks and play happily while being free, painless, and not at risk of infection :)
