We are Lesley-Ann and Hanniffia. We met on the first day of chemotherapy treatment at Queen Margaret Hospital. We were both using the cold cap machine whilst undergoing treatment for Breast Cancer.

 

As we were both using the machine, we sat next to each other during treatments. You could say the machine was the catalyst for an unbreakable bond.

 

Using the cooling system allowed me, Lesley-Ann, and continues to allow Hanniffia to keep a large percentage of our hair, providing us with a huge sense of normality. It has been priceless to us.

 

To say the machines at the Queen Margaret are past their best is a bit of an understatement and we would LOVE to do something about that.

 

Our aim, with your help, is to raise enough funds to buy a new machine for the unit, to give others the option to retain their hair during treatment, if they so wish.
