Help us raise funds for my mom Norma!

My mother Norma Elizondo has fought through many obstacles in life. As a breast cancer and COVID 19 survivor she has faced many hardships all while maintaining a positive attitude and working multiple jobs to make ends meet. Unfortunately, two weeks ago she started coughing up blood (hemoptisis) she went to her pulmonologist who suggested she go to Rio Grande Regional hospital. She arrived to the ER and waited over 7 hours, only to be told she had a little bit of anemia and some pneumonia. She was sent home on some antibiotics. Three days later her symptoms worsened and she decided to go back to the hospital this time she went to McAllen Medical. She was admitted to a medical floor and got worse overnight. The following morning she had to be transferred to ICU emergently. She was quickly intubated and had a bronchoscopy done. She was diagnosed with a life threatening disorder (diffuse alveolar hemorrhage). Since then it has been an uphill battle, there are good days and there are bad days. Which is why we (I her daughter along with family &friends) are here not only asking for financial support, but emotional support too. If you can keep this loving and caring woman in your prayers, we would greatly appreciate it. Any donations received will go towards any medical expenses or financial assistance to maintain the bills paid at home while she is hospitalized and continues to overcome this medical challenge she is currently facing. Mi Madre Norma Elizondo ha superado muchos obstáculos en la vida. Como sobreviviente de cáncer de mama y COVID 19, ha enfrentado muchas dificultades mientras mantiene una actitud positiva y trabaja en múltiples trabajos para llegar a fin de mes. Desafortunadamente, hace dos semanas comenzó a toser sangre (hemoptisis) y fue a su neumólogo quien le sugirió que fuera al hospital Rio Grande Regional. Llegó a la sala de emergencias y esperó más de 7 horas, solo para que le dijeran que tenía un poco de anemia y algo de neumonía. La enviaron a casa con antibióticos. Tres días después sus síntomas empeoraron y se fue de emergencia al hospital, esta vez fue a McAllen Medical. Fue ingresada en un piso médico y empeoró durante la noche. A la mañana siguiente tuvo que ser trasladada de urgencia a cuidados intensivos. La entubaron rápidamente y le hicieron una broncoscopia. Se le dio un diagnostico potencialmente mortal (hemorragia alveolar difusa). Desde entonces ha sido una batalla cuesta arriba, hay días buenos y días malos. Es por eso que estamos (yo su hija al lado de su familia e amigos) aquí no solo pidiendo apoyo económico, sino también apoyo emocional. Si puede mantener a esta mujer amorosa y cariñosa en sus oraciones, se lo agradeceríamos enormemente. Cualquier donación recibida se destinará a gastos médicos o asistencia financiera para mantener las facturas pagadas en casa mientras ella está hospitalizada y continúa superando este desafío médico que enfrenta actualmente.
