As you all know, Tito is the absolute love of my life. This little guy has been by my side for the past 6 years. He's my pride and joy, and also my child. He's always been the most playful, active guy, up until about a week ago he was shaking uncontrollably with pain. We had no idea what it could be, we took him to the ER vet and he was sent home with pain meds and strict crate rest. A few days later he started to lose control of his right leg. 1 week later, he is at the point where he has complete paralysis of both back legs. I was lucky enough to get him in to see a Vet Neurologist this morning and they are recommending a hemilaminectomy. He has ruptured a disc in his thoracic spine, near the 12th and 13th rib. There is a 90% chance he will recover and be able to walk again with this surgery. If we wait and he gets to 0% sensation in his back legs, that reduces the success rate of the surgery by a lot, and potential of him ever walking again. I know it's the holidays and money is tight, but if anyone can help contribute to this completely unexpected medical expense, it would be greatly appreciated. Prayers for Tito!
