The Plano Green Team is a team of ambitious high schoolers aiming to compete in the Solar Car Challenge. Every year, this competition draws high school teams from across the United States, each contending to complete the most mileage within the allotted time.

Racing is expensive. We build our own car and buy our own tools and materials. We also need insurance. Unlike school-funded teams, which are backed by the school district, we rely on support from the community to compete. Anything you can donate will greatly benefit us.

We will put your donation to good use. Since 2016, our students have built four cars, entered seven races, and won eight awards. Events are either circuit races at Texas Motor Speedway or cross-country races on public roads.

This year's race is a race across Texas. We will start in Fort Worth, race our cars through various cities within Texas, and return to Fort Worth for the finish line (exact route TBA). The logistic and strategic difficulty will be much greater than circuit races at Texas Motor Speedway.
