Help us put Zi Zi to rest

Donation protected
Hi everyone, we never thought we would have to use this platform for this reason.

Unfortunately, it was God's plan and Zi Zi was called home on Sunday 1st of May. It was so sudden and unexpected, and our family had not planned to ever need the funds for a circumstance like this. Therefore, we are reaching out to everyone for help to give Zi Zi the best send-off which he so rightfully deserves.

Zion was the happiest and healthiest little boy until he started to experience seizures in October 2021. After many ambulance rides and hospital visits, doctors said that what he was experiencing were Febrile convulsions, these were normal for someone of his age to go through as the seizures were a way of controlling his body temperature when he had a fever or an infection.

After the first visit, the hospital said not to call 999 anymore if his seizures did not last more than 5 minutes. Another time, the doctors gave Zi a course of antibiotics before carrying out a lumber-puncture (which is when they check for fluid on the brain for things such as meningitis) however, whatever infection he initially had was cured by the time they carried out the small op. So, he could have been misdiagnosed by doctors.

Consequently, the seizures became more frequent and on Friday the 29th of April he had another one and was taken to hospital again, but the doctors sent him back home like they did every other time. We as a family believe the doctors failed Zi and if they took the time to do more tests on him and taken his case more seriously, he might still be here with us today.

All funds will be used to help sort out funeral plans which will give his family a peace of mind during this tough time.

Zion’s Mum and Dad will not directly ask for help themselves, but as his Aunty I am doing it on their behalf as I know help is needed.

I think the only thing that is keeping us going is knowing that Zi is finally at peace, running around up there and running up to our loved ones saying “UP UP”  to be picked up & “Pease” for extra food.

That was what he was famous for and that’s how he should always be remembered as the happy bouncy little boy he is
