This year I have started a wildlife rehabilitation center specializing in mammals out of my home in Dauphin County, PA. Due to the lack of space inside and outside, the plan was to not take raccoons.
Unfortunately, so many baby raccoons are in need of help in PA that most centers are at capacity and have closed to raccoon intakes. This includes the entire western side of PA. Because of this, I am having many people call me from Pittsburgh and surrounding areas saying that nobody else will take their raccoons. Even with my lack of space, I have decided to take in many of these raccoons because they simply have no other options.
Raccoons are very expensive to care for. Their formula, food, medications, outside enclosure, and other materials add up quickly. I am asking for a little help to provide the best care possible for these animals.
