On November 1, 2024, one of our clients suffered a great loss. Ms. Jane Doe (for her safety) lost her 4-year-old daughter at the hands of her stepfather. We have been working with this client for the past 6 months and working on getting her to Philadelphia, so she could be safe. Over the course of 6 months, her abuser has stalked her, gone against court orders, showed up at her children’s school, and attacked her in front of police.

On November 1st, her abuser broke into her sister’s home and took the life of her 4-year-old child as payback for her not returning home to him. We are raising emergency funds to get her here, with her two older children, and pay for their down payment to the home she is trying to rent. She will be planning her daughter’s funeral and needs all the financial support she can get at this time. We want to remove the burden of trying to find funds for both a funeral and a new home.
