As a central hub for our community, Vardre RFC relies on the dedication of many volunteers who work tirelessly to maintain our beloved rugby club and pitches, creating a safe, friendly environment for children and adults alike. Despite the challenges of being a small community club, we have celebrated great success, with our first team achieving back-to-back promotions, showcasing the talent and determination of our players. Additionally, we are proud to have a thriving women’s touch rugby team, further expanding the range of members and participants who make use of our club. However, continual damage, including that caused recently by quad bikes and motorbikes being taken onto the pitch, makes it increasingly difficult for us to sustain this momentum.
At Vardre RFC, we pride ourselves on bringing our small community together, believing that every child should have access to free rugby. This vital opportunity not only promotes physical health but also fosters teamwork, discipline, and a sense of belonging. However, ongoing damage to our facilities threatens this vision, putting us at risk of losing an essential resource for our youth.
Our facilities have suffered multiple incidents of vandalism over recent years, including damage to the pitch and our team dugout. This mindless behaviour undermines our efforts and makes it challenging for us to maintain a safe and welcoming environment.
We are reaching out to you, our community, to help us raise funds for essential repairs. Our ultimate goal is to fence off the pitch, protecting it from further damage and ensuring that Vardre RFC remains a place for everyone to enjoy for generations to come.
Every contribution counts! Please consider donating or sharing this post to help us safeguard the future of Vardre RFC. Together, we can make a difference!
Thank you for your support! Let’s keep rugby alive in our community!
