We’re Somos Las Both, a community platform created to uplift and protect our Latino comunidad.
With ICE raids escalating in SoCal, fear is spreading and undocumented individuals, the most vulnerable and hardworking are being unjustly targeted. Many are too afraid to go to work or ask for help, while still facing mounting bills, caring for their children, and simply trying to survive.
We couldn’t just sit back and watch this happen, we’ve felt that fear. We’ve seen our own families hustle through hard times. That’s why we started this fundraiser to get real help to real people, fast.
Here’s what your donation will support:
— Groceries and basic essentials
— Help with rent and bills
— Childcare support
— Food drives and deliveries
— Donations to trusted local orgs already on the ground
We know trust matters, especially when you’re giving. So here’s exactly how we’ll follow through:
- We’re working directly with families and individuals referred through local networks, mutual aid groups, and community partners.
- We’ll personally buy and deliver groceries or use delivery services for those who can’t safely leave home.
- We’ll help cover urgent bills through gift cards, direct payments, or vouchers for things like rent, utilities, or baby essentials.
- We’re donating to local grassroots orgs already doing powerful work, especially those focused on legal help, housing, and essential products.
- We’ll share updates so you can see how your support is being used and the difference you’re helping make.
We’re being intentional, transparent, and hands-on every dollar goes directly to our gente.
