My name is Nikki Townsend, and my husband Tim and I have been caring for our niece and nephew, Eli and Ariel, since June 22, 2025. They were left with us under unsafe circumstances, and we immediately stepped in to give them a safe and stable home. Since then, their parents have not consistently checked on them or provided for their needs.

In just a few short months, we have enrolled them in school, taken them to the doctor, and provided food, clothing, and a loving home. Both children are adjusting, but it hasn’t been easy. Ariel often asks for food and comfort, while Eli struggles with severe anxiety related to school and visitation. Some mornings, he becomes so scared that he has physical panic responses and must be reassured just to make it through the day. We are doing everything we can to help them heal from the trauma they have already experienced.

Now we are facing the next step: securing legal custody through the courts. Unfortunately, this process requires an experienced attorney, and the costs are far beyond what we can manage on our own. Every dollar raised will go directly toward legal fees to ensure Eli and Ariel can remain in a safe, stable, and nurturing environment where they can continue to heal and grow.
