Hi everyone, and thank you for taking a moment to read our story. When we bought our home, we never expected to inherit a horse—but that’s how Chloe came into our lives. The previous owners had grown too old to properly care for her, and when it came time to sell the property, they made the heartbreaking decision to send her to slaughter. We couldn’t let that happen. From the moment we met her, we knew she deserved so much more.

Chloe is blind, and despite everything she’s been through, she has the gentlest, most trusting spirit. She has lived on this land her entire life—six wide, open acres that are all she has ever known. We want nothing more than to keep the integrity of her pasture intact so she can continue to roam the space she’s familiar with, navigate by memory, and feel safe in the only home she’s ever understood.

As newlyweds expecting our first baby in May, our resources are stretched, but our commitment to Chloe is unwavering. Our biggest challenge is building a safe, secure fence around her pasture. For a blind horse, sturdy boundaries aren’t optional—they are essential for her safety, confidence, and ability to move freely without fear.
