Every year, more divers come to experience the magic of our mesmerizing cenotes—and we couldn’t be happier to welcome them. But with this growing love and curiosity comes an important responsibility: keeping our underwater world safe, sustainable, and ready for future generations.

CREER (Comité Regional de Espeleobuceo, Ecología y Regulación), a non-profit, self-regulated group of cave diving instructors and guides, works to keep our underwater world safe, standardized, and environmentally responsible.

That’s why we’re raising funds to continue vital projects that keep our sites—and our community—strong:

• Replacing and updating cave and cavern lines so every diver can explore safely.

• Renewing hundreds of permanent system markers that wear out over time.

• Installing emergency “go bags” so our CREER Rescue Team can respond immediately with the right equipment when it’s needed most.

• Adding educational signposts to help visitors learn more about the cenotes and their remarkable hydrology.

• Maintaining our website and registration systems so we can keep you informed and support the local and visiting cave diving community year round.

Our moderators, guides and instructors volunteer their time and passion to make all this happen—but as you can imagine, the materials and logistics cost money… sometimes a lot of it.
