Hi, I’m Brandi—and yes, I guess I’m officially a crazy cat lady now. But I promise, this is 100% my husbands fault. Who I love dearly and support whole heartedly.

You see, during COVID, he noticed a few cats wandering around, so he started putting food out for them. Then a few more showed up and then some showed up with kittens. For the record - I kept telling him to stop putting more food out. I also told him to stop “rescuing” helpless kittens from the yard and bringing them into the house. He didn’t listen.

What I eventually realized was this: at a time when the world felt completely out of control—when he couldn’t fix everything or save someone he loved — he could save these cats. This was something good. Something real. Something within his control. So here we are.

What started with a couple of bowls of food has grown into Purring Gardens, our big backyard sanctuary where dozens of homeless, feral, and community cats now depend on us every single day. I have grown to love caring for the cats (and one abandoned doodle, but that's another story.)

Why do we need support now?
Coyotes have been killing our cats. What is left for us to find is gruesome and heart breaking.

We feed, shelter, and care for over 40 feral cats & kittens. We trap, neuter, and return the cats to our backyard. The neutered cats usually prefer to lay around in our backyard. While those yet to be trapped and fixed tend to roam more. This use to be relatively safe but it's not safe any longer.

Recently, our neighborhood has seen a sharp increase in serious threats to the cats:

-Coyotes killing cats
-Stray and unleashed dogs attacking cats
-Cats being shot with BB guns
-Other suspicious injuries that point to intentional harm :(

Why This Is Urgent
We currently have 13 cats and kittens in our cat-room waiting to be neutered. We need to be able to give them access to the yard as soon as they recover. Allowing us to continue TNR-ing before kitten season.

Until now, the cats have been able to roam the neighborhood and return to our yard for food and shelter. Unfortunately, roaming now puts their lives at risk. The only safe and responsible solution is to fully enclose our backyard sanctuary so the cats can no longer wander into danger.

Here Is What We’re Raising Funds For
Funds raised will be used for critical safety and operational needs:
  • Cat-proof fencing supplies to add to our existing privacy fence
  • Replace damaged gate & fence pickets that predators can exploit
  • Add 13 fence panels to secure 100ft of a short chain-link fence
  • Van Repairs: which is essential for transporting cats to spay/neuter appointments and emergency vet visits.

This Is Why Your Support Matters
We are not just a feeding station. These cats depend on us every day for food, shelter, and safety. Enclosing the sanctuary will save their lives, give them a true forever home, prevent future injuries, and allow us to continue caring for them responsibly.

Please donate to help us fully protect and care for them.

Thank you for caring about cats who have no voice—and for helping us keep them safe.
