Thank you, thank you, thank you to all the generous donors that helped us surpass our initial goal of $500 dollars! With this money, we have been able to purchase performance rights, as well as scripts for the cast and creative team!

We are still seeking an additional $2,000 for design elements (lighting/sound equipment, props, set dressing, costumes), and most importantly, to provide payment for everyone involved.

So what? Tosh and Lou have each other.

They'll never be like the other girls. They won't sit in a narrative someone else thought up.

This is love. This is enough. This is enough.

Witty and caustic, Scenes with Girls by Miriam Battye is a topsy-turvy exploration of female friendship, romance, and the unfortunate contradictions both reveal within ourselves. We are seeking to invite audiences into Tosh and Lou’s living room for a site-specific theatrical experience.

The producing team is comprised of Daira Rodriguez and Zoe Foster, two theatre artists hailing from Northwestern University and The Theatre School at DePaul, deeply passionate about centering femme multidimensionality, catharsis, and joy through storytelling.

We would love to make this dream project a reality, but we can’t do it without you. We’re asking for help to cover the costs of acquiring rights, rehearsal space rentals, production supplies (lighting/sound equipment, props, set dressing, costumes), and most importantly paying everyone involved. Any additional funds will be put towards compensation for the team.
