Help Support Zayda Alexis Bone Marrow Transplant

My name is Daniel Alexis, and I’m asking for your help to save my daughter’s life.

My beautiful daughter, Zayda, is five years old, and has been diagnosed with sickle cell anemia and IBS. As her health has been fluctuating, doctors have approved Zayda for an experimental bone marrow transplant that will take no less than four months to complete. Thankfully, we have learned that I am a match and can be Zayda’s bone marrow donor. She must be medically stable for 30 days before she can receive her bone marrow transplant, which means her IBS must be under control with no inflammation (which we learned is a sign of potential rejection of the bone marrow).

As we have been in and out of the hospital, medical expenses have added up, and while I have been able to keep my family afloat to this point, I have unfortunately exhausted the last of my paid family leave. I am asking for your help to save my daughter’s life and keep our family from experiencing homelessness.

Our family will need money to help cover rent, utilities, food, medical costs, travel, and any other unforeseen events. We will likely be in and out of the hospital a few times before Zayda is stable enough to receive her transplant. My poor daughter has been so sick due to her pre-existing conditions, I have run out of available resources through the State.

I ask that you consider donating to my daughter and our family to help us save Zayda’s life and keep our family in our home. Seeing my daughter suffer and not being able to take her pain away and make her healthy has been one of the most difficult experiences of my life. My child does not deserve to suffer as she has, and I can only ask for your kindness in helping us ensure Zayda lives a long and healthy life. That she can come back to the only home she has known to recover.
