Help us play badminton

We are a group of badminton players, who have great love for the game. For the last several years, we have been using the volleyball court of our university gym for our weekly games. In order to be professional and competitive, we marked key points and labeled by blue tape to define a standard badminton court so we could all have fun and improve together.

A new gym floor was installed in August, and we again marked and taped our court dimensions. University staff contacted two of us that the tiny marks we had made on the new floor had caused damage to the floor.  We didn't realize that the marks are permanent (hard to remove) though they are tiny. Now we are confronted with a total payment of $ 3,875 to repair/screen/recoat the whole floor. They didn’t give us any other option, but to pay for the entire amount. We are all students/scholars who don’t have so much money to pay this amount, so we are here to fundraise some from both inside and outside of our badminton association to help with the cost of repair fee for our gym. All donations will be greatly appreciated. We are currently looking for another court to play on and anyone seeing this and interested in playing badminton should leave his or her contact information.

We will use the fund that we will raise for two purposes. First of all, part of it will be used to pay off the repairment fee for our gym. The rest of it will be used to pay for access of the new badminton court and also event fee for organizing it, such as badminton contest. It will be fun.
