Help Us Plant Trees, Protect Water and Build Community

The South Simcoe Streams Network (SSSN) needs your help to raise $10,000 to keep our vital programs running through 2025!

SSSN is a volunteer-powered, not-for-profit initiative under Nottawasaga Futures invested in actively involving the community in the protection and enhancement of our local waterways through planting trees.

With just one part-time coordinator and a dedicated group of volunteers, and partnerships with municipalities, conservation authorities, and landowners the SSSN provides outdoor opportunities and hands-on activities such as shoreline tree-planting, in-stream restoration and site monitoring. This hands-on, outdoor action that improves water quality, wildlife habitat, and climate resilience.

Each year about 16 volunteer events are hosted and over half a kilometer of local stream improvements achieved with projected program costs estimated at $100,000. Revenue for the program comes from government and private sources, but sponsorships are the key to help the SSSN sustain programming & get more trees planted!
