I apologize for having to create this, but due to the unexpected and untimely passing of our sister and all of our financial situations at present, our family is having a hard time coming up with the funds needed to have a headstone placed on our sister's grave.

Because the plot is laid for two people (my father purchased it expecting to use it for himself and my mother, unaware that his military service provided all that was needed for him and my mother), the granite has to be laid out to cover both spots, which means the cost is higher than if it were a single plot.

After the costs of the funeral, there was not enough left to cover the $5,000 cost of the headstone. We've been trying for several months to come up with what we can, but it's nowhere near enough for the monument vendor to begin work.

At this time, we're just reaching out to any family and friends who would like to contribute any small amount to help us reach what we need to have them at least start the work.

Believe me, if there was any other way we could get this done, we would have. This is literally a last resort. We didn't want to impose on anyone; everyone has been extraordinarily generous and kind already.
