Help Us Pay Rent and Not to Lose the Apartment

Hello, everybody.
I didn’t think it would have to come to this. I always told myself I got this but I am now in desperate need of help so I turn to you.
Back in October, October 2nd to be exact, I was laid off due to so-called workforce reduction at the Deluxe Entertainment where I was Account Coordinator. It was my dream job and after working there for a year and a half, this was a heartbreaking news.
I was able to apply for unemployment with EDD California which gave me 400$ per week. With my wife, Cristina, who’s a Workforce Development Instructor over at Tierra Del Sol, where she works with people on the spectrum, we barely made it through with the bills and rent throughout 6 months. She makes about 1,150$ bi-weekly. Within 6 months, I applied to over 1,000 jobs, on LinkedIn, Indeed, and the companies’ respective websites. I applied in the localization field, entertainment field, and any field I can find, including groceries stores, pet stores and cinemas. I completely and utterly dropped any standards that I had and started applying for jobs that pay less than what my unemployment would pay. But I am desperate. Despite my attempts and some job interviews, I’m still struggling to find anything.
Heartbreakingly so, my unemployment balance finished at the end of April. Even though I emailed and called countless of times, I was told it cannot be extended and that only a President of the United States can extend the unemployment benefits. Can you believe this?
At this moment, we’re being supported by Cristina’s job which is not enough to pay for our rent, which is 1,800$ and bills, including medical, gas, car payment, car insurance, dog insurance, groceries, internet, and credit card.
As of this moment, I was able to only save 150$ for our rent that’s due in 8 days. We are hoping to get some more from Cristina’s paycheck but we’re now asking you for help. We’re unable to pay rent with what little income we have and will have to evict the apartment if the rent isn’t paid by the 2nd of the new month. We’re asking for 1,500$ which will help us pay the rent.
Again, I never thought it would come to this. But I humbly ask you, if you have anything to spare, please do. If not, sharing this link will help greatly.
Thank you,
Zosia, Cristina, and puppies: Clementine and Ellie
