Hi everyone,

Our hearts are completely shattered as we write this. Our sweet Hemi fought so bravely against FIP, a cruel and aggressive disease that stole him from us far too soon. We poured everything we had into trying to save him. Antivirals, medications, fluids, appetite stimulants, prescription diets, endless vet visits, and sleepless nights spent caring for him and praying for a miracle.

But in the end… his little body was just too far gone, and our boy no longer had the strength or will to fight. We had to say goodbye, and it broke us in a way we never knew was possible.

Hemi wasn’t just our cat, he was our baby, our sunshine, and a huge part of our family. And the heartbreak didn’t stop with us. His brothers, Mopar and Durango, “the boys”, adored him. They played together, cuddled, followed each other everywhere. When Hemi got sick, they grieved right alongside us. They cried. They searched the house for him. They laid near his door just to be close. And when he passed, their sadness was undeniable. Watching them hurt has been almost as painful as losing him.

Like so many pet parents, we didn’t think twice about fighting for Hemi. Every vet visit, every medication, every ounce of hope went on our credit cards, because he deserved every chance we could give him. Now that he’s gone, we are left not only grieving our sweet boy, but trying to carry the weight of this medical debt created from loving him as fiercely as we did.

We are humbly asking for help to pay off the remaining balances from his treatment. Every dollar will go directly toward the credit cards used for his medications, fluids, prescription food, and veterinary care. Even the smallest amount, or simply sharing this fundraiser, truly helps.

We would give anything to have Hemi back. Since we can’t, the only thing we can do now is honor his memory and try to breathe through the grief, while caring for the babies he left behind who miss him deeply.
