Help Richard With Covid Costs And Bills

Donation protected
Hello my name is Nicole and im trying to raise money for my dad Richard. On January 25th 2022 I had to call 911 for my dad because he had covid and had super low oxygen levels and was being incoherent. They got him to Baptist Medical Center immediately and he had to be intubated and medically paralyzed so the ventilator could breathe for him. He was on the ventilator for 9 days and luckily was taken off the ventilator on the 10th day. He had to be fed through a feeding tube and didnt move his body for over 21 days which made him very weak and unable to eat, walk, talk etc. He was then moved to Pam heath where hes had to relearn how to walk and eat by himself and its been and still is a long recovery. While he was in the hospital he also ended up getting a really bad bedsore thats the size of a baseball and approximately 2 inches deep. Hes already had one surgery on it so far and continues to have it worked on once a week as he also got MRSA from the infection and dead skin and this bed sore has slowed down his recovery even more unfortunately. He has been a truck driver for over 28 years and works so hard and unfortunately had only been at his new job for 11 months and wasn't approved for Family Medical Leave because you have to be at the job for 1 year before they can approve you for FMLA so he missed it by one month.. He had a decent savings account but its draining very fast as theres no income coming in at the moment. We could really use any help possible with rent, electric, food, etc and the medical bills are stacking up faster than we can possibly keep up with. We are also having to pay for his medical insurance now out of pocket which is a pretty big expense considering its another 400 plus dollars a month now, 107.90 a week. My dad and family have been through so much and hes the strongest man I know and all he wants to do is provide for his family. His wife of 16 years and my mom died from lung cancer on my dads birthday on February 23rd 2012, then his girlfriend of 7 years died from stomach cancer two days before his birthday on February 21st 2019, then he lost his mother and my grandma on September 19th 2021 not to mention losing my baby sister/his daughter when she was born on September 25th so he has experienced a tremendous amount of loss and it affects him daily. If anyone is able to help us in any way we really would appreciate it more than anything and definitely wouldnt do this or ask if we truly didnt need the help financially. Hes still in the hospital as of today March 13th 2022 and each day that goes by is another day hes unable to work and make any money to pay our bills.. Im currently not working either so I can take care of everything and see him daily at the hospital and whenever he gets to come home I will be his full-time caretaker until he fully recovers. Once he's able to come home he will still need to see a wound doctor once a week at Southwest Medical Center for them to cut out any infection or dead skin inside of the bed sore plus he will have to see an infectious doctor at Saint Anthonys also once a week to monitor the infections and the MRSA to make sure it doesn't travel to his blood which can be deadly. Also he needs a home healthcare nurse to come out once a week to do wound bandage changes, check his vitals etc (stuff that im not able to do or know how to do). He will also have a pic line (IV) that I will have to give him a liquid antibiotic through daily along with pill pain medications, blood thinners to prevent blood clots, his regular antidepressants and blood pressure medicine etc that are all very expensive with so many bills and no income. With his savings we will be able to last approximately one more month until we run out of funds.. It is very urgent that we figure something out quickly because if we aren't able to pay for his medical insurance we won't be able to afford the medicines he desperately needs and depends on . Our rent is also 850 dollars a month and electric is another 100 plus dollars and we will be homeless if we aren't able to pay those bills and when he gets out of the hospital he needs to be able to come home and focus on his recovery and not worry about money or trying to push himself to go back to work. I understand the last couple years have been hard on everyone, so any help is greatly appreciated more than you can possibly imagine so I want to thank anyone right now that is able to possibly help. Thank you so much for taking the time to read about our story and if you are able to help in any way god bless you and thank you so much and even if you aren't able to help god bless you too.
