On our way home from a camping trip in John Day, we stumbled upon this little guy. He was 20 miles from the nearest town. He has wounds all over his body, one of which he needed stitches and medication for. He also has a broken nail, and a bone infection in 2 of his back toes. The vet informed us these toes will need to be amputated to prevent the infection from spreading to the rest of his body. He was likely hit by a car and survived in the desert for at least a couple days. He has been prescribed multiple medications and we've paid for the wound on his leg to be stitched. His first 2 vet visits total to over $700, and we expect the amputation will be an additional $1000+. Money donated will go towards this little man and his healing journey! We want to keep him in our safe home and provide everything we can for him while he recovers.
