Help Us Pay for Sandwiches' Vet Bills

My name is Simon Abrams and this GoFundMe is for me and my partner Jene's cat, Sandwiches. For the last few months, Jene and I have been trying to get more information about the health and, more recently, maintaining the quality of life for our beautiful, funny tabby cat Sandwiches. She has a tumor on her lower left jaw and it's sadly grown too much to make even a partial mandibulectomy worthwhile, according to the surgical oncologist we spoke with. Radiation therapy would likewise not do much but slow things down slightly. We've been taking the cat in to the vet every two weeks for a steroid (depo? Depot?) shot and to get more antibiotics (Clindamycin) and pain-killers (Gabapentin). It sadly seems like it's only a matter of time now though. I wish we had happier news, but we are trying to keep things together and make our sweet girl as comfortable as possible for as long as we can. We have, however, gotten the contact information for someone who specializes in at home euthanasia.

I feel awful reaching out for help without being able to offer more hope, but this is sadly where we're at right now. Sandwiches is the heart of our home, our beloved family member, and I just know that we're going to fall to pieces when there's nothing left to do to make her days even a little easier. We're devastated and in mourning already, but have both found solace in caring for the Sandwich. Jene and I would greatly appreciate it if you could help us relieve the financial burden of caring for our cat. In this first update, the amount we're requesting help with represents the sum total of the cat's medical bills so far. (Gofundme has started out goal out at $1300; I've listed $2415 as the starting number because that's what it is) I'll update things later on.

In the meantime, even if you can't help us out financially, we sure would appreciate your spreading the word, or, better yet, sending us your kind thoughts. I've shared pictures of Sandwiches on social media for more than two years now, and it's pretty impossible to not be charmed by her.
