Pip Needs Emergency Surgery

My name is Mike Dondero and my girlfriend, Bond Longley’s beloved dog Pip is very sick and needs surgery.

The bill is astronomical, and any help y’all would be willing to contribute is more than greatly appreciated.

If you’ve ever met Pip, either on an adventure with Bond or at The Startingate, you know she’s perhaps the sweetest dog you’ve ever met. She’s loving, playful, and absolutely full of character. She loves all animals and people, the smaller the better. She is kind and gentle with everyone she meets. We've never seen her as much as growl at another being. She is only eight years old and still has a lot of life left to live and people to make happy.

Over the weekend Pip went through waves of sickness, lethargy and loss of mobility that despite treatment by the local vet wasn't improving. On Monday morning Pip's symptoms worsened so Bond rushed her to the emergency veterinary hospital in Latham, New York for further tests and treatment. The vet on call gave her an ultrasound that found an abscess in her stomach, as well as an extreme case of pancreatitis. After spending the night in the hospital, Pip received a CT scan that showed her gallbladder had ruptured and she would need emergency surgery to remove the ruptured gallbladder as well as biopsy it to ensure the cause is not cancerous. Pip is scheduled for surgery tomorrow, a very expensive and risky operation given the possibility for infection, but the veterinary team ensured us that this is the best route for her recovery as the gallbladder is "a ticking time bomb" in her stomach.

She means the world to us, and we will do anything we can to help her get back to health, but the cost to do so is immense. Any and all help is greatly appreciated and all goes towards Pip's surgery, scans, medicine and extended hospital stay. Thank you in advance for helping us help sweet Pip.
