Help us pay for our girl Blue to get better.

Hi, my name is Andy and I'm raising funds to help pay for our family pet cats treatment.

This is our girl blue, we got her as a kitten in 2019 and she's been a big part of the family ever since. She wakes us up in the morning's, hangs out with the kids on their days off and goes to bed with mum and dad in the evenings.

She is our little lady of routine and our family would be incomplete without her.

So what's happened?
Friday 06/03
It started like any other day. Blue was awake before anyone else waiting for the first human to wake up so they could give her breakfast. Little Blue wolfed down breakfast before going out for her morning stroll. She came home shortly afterwards and proceeded upstairs to go for a lie down (having breakfast and and surveying the garden is hard work you know).
Fast forward to dinner time and in the madness of getting the kids from school, doing the housework and cooking dinner for everyone, no one noticed that Blue didn't come down for her dinner.
This cat eats her meals so regularly, you can set your watch to the timings. So we knew she was under the weather, but maybe it's just a bug and she'll be better tomorrow.

Saturday 07/03
I have a weird lay in Saturday morning, not woken up by my fingers being licked or my elbow hanging out the cover being bitten. Blue is still resting on her bed and is not interested in food whatsoever. She lays in the same spot for most of the day, only coming down stairs to sniff some food before heading back up stairs. She seems a little worse though, she is walking slowly and seems unsure of her footing and is swaying. We offer her up her favourite cat lick treats and over the day, she eats a couple of them, but its no where near her normal menu.

Sunday 08/03
Blue is still absent from family life, she lays around in bed, not really interested in anything, and is now turning her nose up at food (even her favorite cat lick treats). I take her down stairs so she can go to the toilet and she stands routed to the spot, unsure of her surroundings or how to move. Eventually, she does the business and retires upstairs for the evening.

Monday 09/03
At the time of writing, I have just got home from collecting Blue from the vets. She has been with them since early morning and has had anti sickness meds to try and make her feel a bit better, intravenous fluids to rehydrate her and a full set of blood tests to ascertain what's going on. She is still really poorly at present and hasn't wanted to come out of the pet carrier i took her to the vets in. The poor girl is unsteady when on her feet and went to sleep as soon as she got home.
We are due another appointment tomorrow to see if she perks up overnight but judging from what I can see, she looks just as unwell now as she did this morning. Very withdrawn, lethargic and sleepy and not eating anything.

This is where i need you help and I am sorry to be asking. The family is already going through a very stressful time due to a cancer diagnosis with mum. As a result, I am off work (i'm still getting sick pay at the moment, they've been great BTW) and my wife's income has just been slashed in half and will stop all together in the next few months.
The NHS is doing a great job looking after us amazingly but there is no NHS for cats sadly. The vet bills today alone have already set me back £840 and I am going back tomorrow to see what else needs to be done for our little girl where I expect similar costs.
As a result of all this, we are rapidly burning through our savings. With our income already taking a bashing before this, bills are starting to pile up.

If you can spare whatever you can so I can put it towards the vets bills, my family and I will be thoroughly grateful for your support during these stressful times. I'll keep posting updates about how its going with Blue, but if you got this far, thankyou for taking the time to hear about our little lady.
