Help us pay for our father's cermation

Our father, Jason Sorrell, suddenly passed away on February 22nd, 2021. He filled many roles, from uncle, brother, and son, to thinker, artist, and leader. He asked of us that we be critical thinkers too, shared with us his love of story telling, and ensured that his sense of creativity passed down to us. It is painful to imagine what life will be like now that he has passed, and the unexpected nature of his passing has left us to pick up the pieces as we grieve and try to make some sense of what life will be like without our dad to guide us.

Jason will be cremated in Austin, Texas. The cremation cost is more than we can currently afford alone and unfortunately, the process of receiving benefits from his workplace is taking longer than we expected. We are asking for any and all help in making this sudden expense less intimidating for us. Any donation amount is greatly appreciated and will go towards the cost of his cremation, travel expenses for his family gathering memorial, and expenses related to our father's sudden absence.

For those of you who knew Jason, thank you all for being in our father's life. We hope you are among the many we have heard from who he had a positive impact on.
