Help us pay for our dad's bypass heart surgery

Hi everyone, our names are Monse and Michelle Sanchez. Our dad suffered from a heart attack yesterday, August 2, 2022. Emergency surgery was completed, and he has been placed in intensive care, awaiting bypass heart surgery that will take place tomorrow, August 4th. We hope that this bypass will allow him to make a full recovery. Many cardiac surgeons, nurses, and physicians have come to his room hourly to ensure he is in good shape for this delicate surgery.

However, this comes at a cost. Last year, costs for this type of surgery went up to $200,000. Although we do not know our final costs yet, minimum costs start at $30,000. We are a low-income family; now that our dad cannot work for six or more weeks, we will have to resort to taking on more shifts and longer hours. Since I (Michelle) will be attending UCI this fall semester, we are concerned and worried about the ultimate finances.
