To those reading this, my name is Donovan Lu. My father has recently seen the light sooner than he should’ve and I wanted to raise money to contribute fund to his ceremony as well as his 100 day ceremony.
I am the youngest out of 3 kids so I am far more ignorant than my elder siblings. But if it’s one thing I know, it’s that my father always put his loved ones before himself. My father has been working extremely hard since a very young age. He gave everything he had to offer to give me and my sisters the childhood he didn’t get to have and to help us whenever we needed.
Regardless of him working hard his entire life, he always knew it was important to take time for yourself and have fun. My father is the reason I’m infatuated with cars. When I was a young boy, the car he owned was a 1998 Acura Integra GS-R. When he wasn’t working, he was playing with that car from dawn to dusk and I would watch him on the driveway. But when he wasn’t playing with his car, he would spend a lot of quality time with his beloved family. As much as he was a hard worker, he was always an uplifting, happy, and positive soul. When my father was around it was nothing but cherishing memories and sharing laughs.
He was an amazing man that has cared for others over himself his entire life and I want to do whatever it takes to repay even just a fraction to him.
