PLEASE Help us pay for Carl's antibiotics & expen.

Hi. My name is Wendy and I'm raising funds for my husband's antibiotics, nurses and other expenses. He had hip surgery a year ago and developed an infection at the surgical site a few weeks ago. Yes, it's rare for that to happen so far out after surgery, but it's not unheard of. I rushed him to the hospital, where they treated him for sepsis and fever. Then, they did cultures to determine what they needed to give him. He was getting better, so he was released into my care and visiting nurses. Two more weeks went by and he developed a fever. His doctor said to take him back to the ER. He was there for just over two weeks and developed pneumonia, while in the hospital. His meds needed to be changed multiple times. He is on Medicare and a supplemental that does not fully cover these antibiotics. He needs these if he's planing on surviving. The meds alone are costing us over $250 a week. Then, the cost of nurses and missing work are too much. We initially needed to do it for at least 8 weeks. Now, an indeterminate amount of time because he needs to have yet another surgery to close the new wound that isn't closing on its own. We're backed into a corner and need help. He is on Social Security and has been disabled for about 10 years. I barely made enough to cover our bills to begin with and have been missing allot of work. I applied for Family Medical Leave, but that will not help one bit, once I finally get it. I would NOT ask if we weren't totally desperate. Anything would help. I appreciate your time. ...
