Help Us Paint The People's Church of Long Beach!

Dear Friends,
We, The People’s Church of Long Beach, are a small non-denominational Christian church in Long Beach, NY. We were established in 1921 and will be approaching our 100th year anniversary. We have weathered many storms over the past century – literally! Recently have had to use financial reserves to refurbish after Hurricane Sandy.
We are trying to gather money to have our church and parsonage painted as they have not been painted in living memory. Since we are not part of a denomination, we cannot look to a mother church for assistance. We pray that the Lord will move you to help with this endeavor.
This little church does many things for the community and around the world with a small amount of members:
- Visit the Komanoff Nursing Home in Long Beach monthly to provide fellowship and hold a communion service
- Give Thanksgiving and Christmas baskets to needy families in the community and to the homebound
- Donate to the Heifer Project International for thirty years and continue to do so. This nonprofit creates self-sufficiency for families around the world
- Hold craft nights, ice cream socials, youth groups, and movie nights open to the public
- Gave free art lessons for the past 12 years with our Bible Art program
- Provided famous barters at different functions throughout the year
- Provide space for AA, Al-Anon, Project Challenge, Girl Scouts and Youth Nights
- Distribute gifts and feed the children of Long Beach each December (Santa comes too!)
- Support Lighthouse Mission here on Long Island and Voice of the Martyrs worldwide
We would appreciate it if you would consider helping us raise the money we need to paint our church. More importantly, we welcome you to come and worship with us and learn more about how this little church has survived for soon to be 100 years. God bless you all. Peace be with you and many thanks.
