Help My Mom and I Overcome Hailstorm Trauma and Repairs

Hey my friends, my mom and I need your help to get us back home. We were on our way to visit my sister in Hobbs, NM to celebrate her recovery when we got caught in a severe hail storm. I was driving when we got pelted by hail the size of softballs; it shattered the windshield, glass shards were flying into the truck at us, the window wipers flew off, and the headlights were both busted. Luckily, we found some trees and hid under them while the storm passed. All of this happened within 20 minutes. My poor mom was shaken up. We were able to get towed with the help of my sister’s amazing friends and checked into a hotel, safe and sound. We are very lucky to only have a few small cuts from the glass, but we are definitely traumatized. We contacted our insurance, but we have to wait for an assessor to look at it, and in the meantime, we are stranded over 300 miles away from home, in the middle of nowhere, trying to figure out how to get my truck repaired and return to Albuquerque. So please help us with the unexpected expenses we are facing.
