Any help is appreciated - medical expenses are drowning us.

Hey all - this is a pretty uncomfortable position for me so bear with me.

For my family and friends that aren't already aware, over the last year and a half I have had multiple health issues arise, one basically causing another. Unfortunately I have seen a rapid onset of several conditions over a short period of time, and in many cases THOSE conditions have their own symptoms and side effects that can lead to further complications.

In the last few years I have been diagnosed with hypothyroidism, glomerulonephritis (chronic kidney disease), type 2 diabetes, early onset psoriatic arthritis, but the biggest issue and the one that has caused the most pain, stress and financial issues are leg ulcers (originating from broken skin due to my psoriasis). I have been struggling to do basic daily tasks as the pain from these wounds is debilitating. We are working with some wonderful providers that are consistently searching to find the best courses of treatment for all these conditions, however it has been a battle to get ahead; every time we make some progress in one area, something comes up and we fall behind in another. I spend many of my days in some degree of pain or discomfort, fatigue, and occasionally suffering from one side effect of the medication I'm on or another. It's been more than frustrating, and has taken a toll on my mental health as well, which also has negative effects on the body and it's ability to heal.

That all being said, I am incredibly blessed with an amazing support system in my friends and family. I have a job that has been very understanding and supportive of my journey back to my health, and I'm very grateful to all these people as well as the doctors and nurses that have taken the time and effort that's gone in to trying to find a balance for me treatment-wise.

That being said, though our medical insurance has been covering most appointments and medications, there are several treatments and medications that are still unfortunately not covered. As a result, we have been paying out of pocket for several of these treatments and medications for over a year now, and we have come to a place where we are closing in on a financial spot we wont be able to come back from. We have had to make some very difficult decisions and we are suffering. I hate to see my family struggle at my expense.

As of right now I am waiting for my supplemental insurance to kick in, however we still have about 2 months before that happens and we have already hit the critical point where we unfortunately can't hold out until then. I am asking anyone that is willing and able to please consider donating $10, $5, even $1 to helping us get through these next few months. I desperately want to be the best that I can be for my daughter and my family and I can only do that if I am taking care of my health.
