Hi, my name is Mathieu Louis. I'm an American in Haiti. I'm doing an emergency fundraising for me and a couple of other Americans to get out of Haiti as soon as possible. We are stuck in Port-au-Prince and unable to get out. We are confined to a home with nowhere to go. NO flights or bus transport out of Haiti.

The gangs completely took over the the Haitian capital and threaten to execute everyone if they don't get what they want. Without United States assistance, Americans here will be the first to get killed because they really hate anyone with a U.S. passport.

Getting out will not be easy, but it's possible if we have the necessary fund. The corrupt police will only assist to get us to the Dominican Republic if we pay them large some of money and they only want United States Dollars.

Raising fund for?

Myself and two other people living in the same house. One is my friend and other an associate.

How fund will be delivered and used?

1. Fund will be used to pay local individuals for transportation and passage to the border of Dominican Republic. Transfer will be made from the deposited checking account via Sendwave to an account in Haiti in local currency.

2. Remaining fund will be used for temporary lodging, transportation and food in the Dominican Republic.

UPDATE: United States chartered a flight for U.S. citizens yesterday out of Cap-Haitian. Cap-Haitian is 6 hours away from where were are (Port-au-Prince). We will have to go through at least 7 area completely controlled by the gangs in order to get there. Reason why U.S. government said they can't have a flight for U.S. citizens out of Port-au-Prince is because gangs shot at airplanes last time, putting bullet holes in 3 airplanes.

UPDATE (March 18) - 10 bodies were found just 3 minutes away from the apartment me and 3 other Americans are holding up. We have 2 days of cooking gas left and 5 days of food and water.
