For the last 20 years, Body Art Motion has lived in a variety of rooms throughout Calgary. Each week we make spaces sacred for a few hours at a time. It is now time for us to root. It's time for us to create a permanent home.

We are now raising funds to open the Body Art Motion Studio in Calgary - a dedicated space for movement, healing, and community. Coming this Fall 2026, this will be a place where people come to reconnect with themselves and with each other. This studio is more than a location, it's a brick and mortar energetic blueprint of the beautiful community we have been creating in Calgary over the last 2 decades.

It will be the home for:

A space where all of these paths meet, speak to one another, and evolve together. Our aim is to open the doors in Fall 2026, with an ongoing, uninterrupted schedule of 12+ classes per week, including daytime, evening, and weekend options.

✦ Location Plan & Timeline

The studio location has not yet been finalized. The plan is to secure funding first, then lock in the right space with confidence. Over the past year, potential locations have been actively researched and narrowed down to central areas of the city (leaning toward central north) with strong access to transit and parking.

The goal is to take possession of the space by August 1st, followed by renovations through August and early September in preparation for opening at the end of September. Updates will be shared with the community as soon as the space is secured.

Total estimated startup costs: $34,000. This project is also being personally invested in—this campaign helps bridge the gap to make it possible now. This campaign is focused on helping us reach our first milestone of $20,000 to secure the space and complete the essential setup needed to open the doors. Any additional funds raised will go toward expanding the space and supporting long-term sustainability.
