We're raising funds to launch a transformative project Bayt Al - Rahma: a dedicated Boys’ Orphan Care and Madrasah in Arusha, Tanzania. This centre will offer comprehensive care—spiritually, emotionally, and physically—to orphaned boys, ensuring they are given the tools and support to thrive in this world and the next. Our founder Amira became a traveller, she met people from all around the world and was deeply moved by the struggles of those in need—especially orphans. The experience humbled her and ignited a strong desire to give back to the countries she visited. This project is incredibly close to her heart. Alhamdulillah, we have successfully started supporting the girls—and now, we want to begin building for the boys. And you can be a part of this.

Why This Matters

During our 2023 trip to Tanzania with The Wanderlust Women—a God-centered hiking and healing collective for Muslim women—we visited the Ummu Aisha Orphanage in Arusha. There, we met Mama Salma and the 14 orphaned girls she cares for. Since then, we've been supporting the centre and its girls.

Now, we’re expanding our efforts.

We’ve seen the urgent need to support orphaned boys—many of whom are left behind, without access to shelter, education, or emotional and spiritual care. This new centre will be a safe, purpose-built space designed to support boys from infancy to graduation and beyond.

One of the most beautiful aspects of this project is our commitment to supporting these young boys on their journey to becoming Huffadh (memorisers of the Qur’an). With a dedicated mosque, Qur’an learning space, and qualified teachers, the boys will have the opportunity to memorise the Qur’an in a peaceful, spiritually nourishing environment. This is not just a home—it’s a sanctuary where their hearts can be connected to Allah, and where they can grow into righteous leaders for the Ummah.

Our Vision

This project aims to:

Provide safe shelter and a loving home for orphaned boys

Offer quality early childhood education and care

Deliver accessible healthcare via an on-site dispensary

Care for infants with a dedicated infant care unit

Build a mosque for spiritual and Islamic development

Create a library and digital learning hub

Establish a commercial building to help fund the center sustainably

Support boys through a graduate and post-graduate programme for long-term empowerment

Our Goals

We're aiming to complete this in phases over 12 months, starting with:

6-Month Plan: Secure land, begin construction of essential facilities (dorms, daycare, dispensary)

12-Month Plan: Launch nursery, mosque, library, and commercial income-generating units
