MAKE THE IMPOSSIBLE DREAM A REALITY!!
We are Team 255m and we have the opportunity to put Norristown Area High School on the national map-maybe even international, but we need your help!
On March 2nd, at the Eastern PA State Championships, our team, out of 78 teams, was honored with the Design Award! This award qualifies us to take part in the VEX WORLD Competition in Dallas, TX at the end of April!
An opportunity such as this has been the "impossible dream" since we signed up for the Robotics Club in 6th & 7th grade. A dream we have worked toward for 4 years as our region of PA is one of the most competitive and now we will be able to meet & compete with teams not only from across the US but teams from around the world!
We have learned so much through trial and error, research, countless late nights, and a few more sleepless nights than we care to admit. Some of us will even be giving up the chance to attend our Junior Prom, but we are determined to go and are honored to represent our club and our school. We hope to make all of you proud!
This trip is not without its costs and we would be truly appreciative of any support you can give us as time is of the essence- we are Dallas-bound in just 45 days!
Sincerely,
Team 255M – Alex, Chane, Elijah, Joey & Lucas
Initially, I was unsure of the venture I’d be taking part in when I joined Robotics. I felt like a complete stranger to everything that was laid out in front of me on my first day. As time has gone on, I’ve familiarized myself with the different components that make up VEX Robotics. I’ve met some of my closest friends through this team and have learned so much about the aspects that make up VRC. I’d be very grateful to explore the next level of VRC at the World’s stage in Dallas and hope to learn so much more from this experience than I could have ever imagined." — Alex, Driver/Programmer, NAHS Class of 2025
Leading up to the honor of being invited to the VEX Worlds Competition, we have been through many trials and tribulations. Many sleepless nights, repeated trial and error, and in general, a pure determination to do our very best. As a team, we have exponentially grown through the years and now that we are reaching one of our final years in robotics, it would be much appreciated if we could receive as much support as possible to help all of us go on this new endeavor. - Chane, Documentation, NAHS Class of 2025
None of it feels real just because we’ve all been chasing this dream for so long. It’s kind of been something that we’ve put on this pedestal of possibility, but it’s nice to know that impossible things are possible. We’d love for you to be a part of this with us by supporting our team! - Elijah, Mechanical Engineer, NAHS Class of 2025
One of the biggest reasons we are all excited to go is because we have worked very hard and have put alot of time and effort into our season. Making it to Worlds has been one of, if not THE biggest goal for our team! - Joey, CAD Modeling, NAHS Class of 2026
I think it’s important to go to worlds because there’s a lot of interesting ways to learn. It’s a huge opportunity to pass around ideas and grow or improve because of it. Three years plus this current year was a lot of time to practice and develop the skills to be where we are today. Throughout that time there was an extreme amount of late nights, thorough research, and team building. I’m most excited about the other competitors. Because there are people from around the world, I think it would be great to interact with them and be more extroverted. - Lucas, Programmer, NAHS Class of 2026
