A Mother's Fight to Keep Her Family Alive and Together

Hi, I'm Dawn—a mother, a listener, a believer in the power of love to reroute even the most tangled roads. We found ourselves homeless after a set of all-too-common circumstances that any one of us could have fallen into.
How many of us are only a few paychecks away from sitting right where my family is at right now?

The goal is to move closer to the city where the right support finally exists for my children, and the cost of living means a fighting chance for a single mom.
A place where they can survive, because where we're at now the risks are actually endangering their lives.
We need a specialized Deaf school for my son, and community for a growing boy that has not even one friend to chat with, and better access to doctors and care for my daughters, each with their own medical conditions that require specialists this area just doesn't have.

Each of my kids has kind heart and soul, truly good people. My oldest is in college studying to help others like her brother, when she saw an unmet need she decided to become the change in the world—fueled by a fire to be the change despite the constant pain her body is in every day. My middle daughter is a quiet force of empathy with the kind of insight that can stop a storm mid-spin. Even wild animals approach her for comfort and care, her kindness is so clear even when her body is in full revolt against her and none of the doctors can tell her why. My youngest and only boy, our wild-hearted dreamer, wants to be a wrestler someday. He is Deaf, full of life, and ready for a school that sees him, and people to connect with - something we all crave in our hearts.

Right now, we’re living in an ugly green trailer that needs reinforcement just to survive the move. We don’t have a shower, fridge, or toilet—and yet, we do have love, laughter, and determination in spades.

Here’s where you come in.

If you can help financially, your contribution will go directly toward getting us moved and stabilized—transport, repairs, and setting up the space.

If funds are tight but your hands are able, there’s real work to be done: strengthening the trailer frame, helping with vehicle repairs, or even sharing resources we might not know exist.

We’re not asking for pity—we’re inviting you into a story of resilience, of hard work and the will to survive. A story where kindness still counts. A story where you can actually see the difference your help makes.

Whether you give $5 or just give a damn, it matters. And we see you.

Thank you for being part of something that looks like love in action.

With gratitude and grit,
Dawn & the Chaos Beans
