I don’t even know how to begin this. This is one of the hardest, most humbling things I’ve ever had to do.

In the next 6 weeks, we have to move my children and our entire life across states. This happened so fast from completely unforeseen circumstances, and we have a court ordered relocation that we must honor. After many years of trying to get closer to my family in Virginia, that door has finally opened, but we only have 6 weeks to make it happen.

We walked away from a horrific domestic violence situation with abuse of all kinds. We had to leave everything behind in order to protect our lives. For the past year, we have been living with others without a home of our own, trying to piece life back together. We truly believed we would be able to save and get back on our feet during this time, but the reality is we couldn’t. Between everything we have walked through, it just wasn’t possible.

At the same time, God has still been moving in our lives. In the middle of so much loss and rebuilding, I have been blessed with a new partner and a new baby. Our family has grown, and there is so much love here. But with the weight of both of our pasts, and everything we have carried individually and together, it has made rebuilding financially incredibly hard.

On top of everything, I have walked through the loss of both of my parents and other close family members. I have been dealing with health issues, homeschooling my children, and trying to help them heal and rebuild after everything they have endured. It has been one heavy season after another, and now we are facing something this big with so little.

This move is not just a move. This is safety. This is stability. This is finally getting my children somewhere they can feel secure and begin again. This is also obedience to what I believe God is making a way for after years of praying for this exact opportunity to be near my family.

Right now, we need help covering the absolute basics to make this happen. A moving truck, storage unit expenses, and the security deposit and first month’s rent. That is it. Just what we need to get there and land somewhere safe.

This is so hard for me to share. It feels vulnerable and deeply humbling. But I am choosing faith over fear. I believe Jesus makes a way where there seems to be no way. I believe He provides, and that He works through people.
