Here's the story:

Have been living in a house that's been on the market for over a year, a friend of ours was kind enough to let us live here while it sold. Well its time to go.. We had a house lined up but my credit just isn't up to par to rent or buy anything in this area (or in California in general)

Which brings me to our backup plan, Montana.. The prison I worked at wants me back and is offering me a pretty sweet deal pay and benefit wise. We do have a house lined up to move into once there however we don't have the expenses to get out there.

The money (5K) is the money we had in line for the down payment however without the house, the individual who was going to lend us the money has suddenly backed out. It would cover travel, U-Haul for our belongings and first months rent.

In closing once we are out there we will be okay cause I'll be working. I wouldn't normally ask for this kind of help, I believe in working for what you earn but I have a wife, and animals to care for and I need to do what's best for my family. Montana is it...
