Our landlord has given us less than 60 days to move out of our home, and despite my request for an extension so my daughter could finish 7th grade, it was denied for reasons that are still unclear. We've lived in this community since 2015, and our current home has been our safe place since 2018. Now, with the holidays and my daughter's 13th birthday approaching, we are suddenly forced to find a new place to live.

The timing couldn't be harder. Instead of celebrating Christmas and her birthday, we are focused on packing up our lives and figuring out how to afford the costs of moving. The expenses for a new place, along with the cost of a U-Haul truck rental, are overwhelming. As a parent, it's heartbreaking to see my daughter worry about losing her home and missing out on the joy of the season.
