For 10 months, we have been planning out every detail of moving our family overseas. There are a lot of moving parts, and, being of limited means, we have budgeted each detail down to the last dime.

Getting our ENTIRE family to our new home has taken a lot of planning and, most certainly, a lot of money. We are selling everything we have to make this happen, and so far, we have been making it all work, which has been a huge accomplishment.

We're one week away from the first leg of many in the journey, and we find ourselves being called to pivot yet again. I'm having trouble hurdling this particular wall, more so than with past challenges, particularly because our timeline is now set in stone.

Our latest challenge is to move our last 3 pets to Portugal an entire month earlier than expected. This may seem like a small thing, but there are many costs associated with this. For example, we had not anticipated needing this extra flight to get them there or to have the funds on hand for the paperwork and inspections until the end of October. However, we now need to make it happen in less than 3 weeks. With our existing funds already allocated for the other move expenses this month, there is no money available for this.

We would like to call on our friends and family to help us with this urgent request and get our entire family to our new home. If you can donate even $5-$10, it will help us reach our goal.

We've come so far, and we are so close. Please, if you are in a position to assist us in any way, we'd be incredibly grateful.

These funds will cover:

1. A round-trip direct flight for my husband to bring the last 3 pets to Portugal at the end of September. (John is officially joining us in December)

2. Transportation for him and the pets both to and from the airports at both ends (a regular Uber can't do this).

3. The certifications, vet inspections, and flight fees for the pets.
