My family and I have called Montana home for many years, but the rising cost of living has made it increasingly difficult to stay. Montana now has the largest affordability gap in the nation, and as a single income household, we’ve made the tough decision to move to a more affordable place so we can build a better future together.
I work full time and have been fortunate to accept a new position with my current employer in Alabama. While I’m grateful for this opportunity, my company isn’t able to offer any relocation assistance. That means every part of our 2,000+ mile journey—fuel, food, and lodging—will come out of our own pocket. The costs are overwhelming, but we’re determined to make this move for the sake of our family.
We are a small family on our way towards bigger things. We’re so thankful for what Montana has given us, but our path is leading somewhere else. My new job starts February 2nd, and any support you can offer will help us get there safely and start this new chapter. Thank you for reading our story and considering a donation to help us on our way.
