My family and I are facing a difficult and urgent situation. We live in Oklahoma, where my trans son has experienced relentless bullying, physical assault, and discrimination simply for being himself. The environment here has become so hostile that even his doctor cannot safely address his needs as a trans boy, due to restrictive state laws. Every day, we worry about his safety and well-being, and it has become clear that we need to move to a place where he can thrive.

Recently, my partner received a job offer in Spokane, Washington, which gives us hope for a fresh start. However, this opportunity means we need to move much sooner than we had planned. Our biggest obstacle right now is finishing essential repairs on our house so we can sell it and relocate. I had intended to do the repairs myself, but a recent knee injury has made that impossible, and the accelerated timeline has left us overwhelmed. The funds we raise will go directly toward hiring help for the repairs and covering our moving expenses, so we can get my son to a safer, more supportive community as quickly as possible.
