We're Hannahs Said and Mia Schachter and we are thrilled to announce the launch of Woven Business Academy offering business training for creatives, freelancers, and entrepreneurs.

We met at the dog park in Eagle Rock in 2022. For years, we’d seen each other there but Mia was really sick so they sat by themselves and stared at their phone on a log at the edge of the park. They looked longingly at Hannah and her friends—she seemed to collect really fun people. Hannah thought Mia seemed cool, but didn’t talk to them because she thought Mia was a freak on a log, understandably.

Then, unbeknownst to Hannah, Mia pooped out a tapeworm (yeah!!!!) and began to feel much, much better. They came out of their shell and began to have a social life again. Meanwhile, Hannah was building Saffron Cowboy.

One day, Hannah started selling pup cups (tiny cups of whipped cream) and coffee outside the dog park. Mia got one for their dog, Tennessee but didn’t have the guts to introduce themself. Then, a few weeks later. Mia saw Hannah at a bar even though Hannah doesn’t really drink alcohol and Mia bravely said, “Hi, I’ve seen you at the dog park.”

They became bffs and so did their doggies, Tennessee and Amara. They (the humans) bonded over their decisions to go into business for themselves, their love of dogs, and ultimately—for better and for worse—their illnesses. They helped each other get better, build community, and now they’ve joined forces to create and share Woven.

We're offering our first 3-Month Entrepreneurship Program in September with applications due August 15. The program starts September 8 and runs through December 8th.
