Help Us Manage Medical and Rent Costs
Spende geschützt
Hello all.
I am in an incredibly tough situation, and I've tried for a very long time to manage it on my own and figure everything out, but it's come to a point that I can't anymore.
Over the last almost two years, I've been supporting my household financially on my own. My Girlfriend is disabled and unable to work, she had a job but was fired when they decided she had too many doctor appointments. She is currently fighting to obtain full disability, but that is a very lengthy process. This was maintainable when I had a roommate paying their portion of rent, but in the past 10 months, I had a different roommate move in, and since then, they have yet to pay more than $500 a month for rent, utilities, their garage, and groceries. They are also moving out on August 1st because I finally asked them to pay the agreed-upon rent. This has made my already tight situation incredibly hard. On top of that, I will be losing my medical insurance through my parents in August when I turn 26, and I am currently on two different epilepsy medications, a prediabetes medication, and testosterone. The monthly costs of the medical insurance provided by work are insanely high for the coverage they offer but I am left with no choice. Paying my medical only further takes from the money I have for bills and rent.
I'm embarrassed and frustrated that I have come to this point. I never thought I'd be in this position, but after everything, I am unable to afford the bills that I have. I didn't bank on my roommate, who I've known my whole life, not paying adequate rent and putting me into this position.
If you are in the position to donate, I hope you know that I appreciate it more than you will ever know. And if you aren't, I still appreciate you reading this far.
Thank you!
