On Jan 16, 2020, Jaisyn was diagnosed with aggressive terminal brain cancer; aka: DIPG. Riley's Children hospital in Indianapolis, IN, released him less than 48 hours later stating that their was nothing they could do, and to go home and make him comfortable. They gave him only 2 weeks bc of how aggressive the brain tumor is.
Shortly after being home, we received a call from St. Jude, in Memphis, Tennessee, asking us if we would allow Jaisyn to participate in clinical trials. With that said, we accepted. Jaisyn finished the first part of his journey in the end of March, with radiation. It has temporarily worked and we are grateful to get these last months with Jaisyn.
Unfortunately, Covid19 has affected a lot of his last wishes. His dream to go to Disneyworld was canceled. We are trying to at least accomplish some of his little wishes. With that said, finances are beyond tight already with only his dad being able to work, all the travel back and forth to Tennessee, and paying twice the monthly bills so we could be together as a family while he goes thru this journey, as this was one of his wishes.
