Help Us Through Family & Pet Emergency

My family and I are facing an incredibly tough time right now. In the middle of a harsh Canadian winter, we were suddenly evacuated from our apartment because the power had been cut to the building. With nowhere else to go, we've been staying in a hotel, trying to keep things as normal as possible for my 9-year-old daughter, even as she continues her school year. To make matters even more difficult, our beloved dog Trixie has fallen seriously ill and needs to see a vet. The reality is, this may be her final visit, and we are preparing ourselves for the possibility of saying goodbye as she crosses the rainbow bridge.

I'm on disability, and while my benefits help cover the essentials for my daughter and I, the unexpected costs of emergency housing and urgent veterinary care are overwhelming. Hotels are expensive, and vet bills can be even more so, especially in a situation like this. We're doing everything we can to stay afloat, but right now, we need a little extra help from our community to get through this crisis.
