HELP US FIX OUR TRAVEL TRAILER, OUR NEW HOME
Donation protected
Hello! My name is Kathleen and my husband is Jeramy. My husband and I are losing our affordable rental home. Our landlord unexpectedly passed away, and the property is being sold.
We are both disabled at a younger age and trying to survive on Social Security Disability. Jeramy has Multiple Sclerosis, and I have autoimmune small fiber and autonomic neuropathy. Our medical bills monthly are a few hundred to one thousand a month, leaving us with little to live on. Unfortunately, we do not have family to move in with, and there are huge waiting lists for income-based housing.
We were gifted a 20-foot 1977 Aljo travel trailer. We have been rebuilding it but do not have the funds to make it livable. The trailer had extensive water damage, and we had to rebuild the frame and floor. Everything was original, and not much could be saved. It needs all new electric, plumbing, mechanicals, insulation, and so much more. We have a few months to get this travel trailer livable and able to run without constant hookups.
Arizona has become very expensive to live in. We are hoping we can relocate to Tennessee for cheaper living and to get access to doctors for me. There is only one doctor in Arizona that specializes in and treats autonomic neuropathy, and he does not take health insurance (cash pay only, Dr. Saperstein). Nashville, Tennessee, has the Vanderbilt Autonomic University that I desperately need to get accepted to.
My husband and I are very independent and private people and hate asking for help. I know we are all dealing with crushing inflation at the moment. So we are just graciously asking if people could just spare 5 to 10 dollars and hopefully we reach enough people to reach our goal with minimal donation per person, as we don't want to be a burden. We greatly appreciate everyone's time and donations.
Thank you,
Jeramy and Kathleen
